No matter how you put it, the holiday season is synonymous with the healthy glow of hydrated skin. Rosy cheeks, and red lips would be nothing without a happy complexion to back them up! But when it comes to skin, the holiday season can sometimes bring us a little more than great tidings of joy. The combination of winter weather, and a buffet of amazing treats can quickly cause dry skin, chapped lips, and last but not least... breakouts. We've all been there, when Grandma wants a family picture, and all you're thinking about is that angry blemish on the corner of our nose.
After ten long months of rain here in Vancouver we are greeted with… more rain, but just in case the sun does decide to show itself this summer there are some crucial steps that need to be taken to protect our skin!
We here at skoah Boston see a lot of guests who suffer from rosacea. Given that the National Rosacea Society has designated April as Rosacea Awareness Month, we thought it would be helpful to post some information about rosacea here on our blog.
Fall in Boston is certainly a beautiful time of year. The leaves turn colors. There is a slight chill in the air and you can bring out your favorite sweaters and scarves. Pats games allow for fun tailgating. And ski season is just around the corner.
We here at skoah love our sweet skin facials and simply powerful skin care products, but it is really gratifying when others recognize what we have to offer as well. We have been incredibly fortunate to have received some great exposure in write-ups from various press outlets over the past few weeks. Below are links to the full articles, but here are some highlights from what the reporters had to say:
Exciting news! Starting Friday July 23, skoah in Boston will be open to sell its fabulous line of skin care products (facial services will be forthcoming shortly). Stop by, say hi and check out our fantastic products! Hours are Monday-Friday 10-8 and Sunday 10-6. We are located at 641A Tremont Street.
Very exciting times for skoah here in Boston. We received our first two press mentions this week! Check out the shout-outs in the current issue of Stuff @ Night(we are in the “Hot” section) and the Tuesday email edition of Thrillist Boston. Links to both pieces are below.
When I tell people about skoah Boston, I almost always receive two responses. First, the person I’m talking to will say “that sounds like a really cool idea….I cannot wait to check it out” or something to that effect. Then, almost without exception, they will ask, “Why did you decide to do this?” For me, that question is really two questions in one. Why did my husband and I decide to start our own business and why did we decide to bring skoah to Boston?
Earlier this week, as we were leaving the gym, I told my husband, Boston Pete, how much I enjoyed my skoah skin-training regimen. He stopped walking, turned to me and said, “Don’t just tell me, blog about your experience so others will know too.”
Hi all! This is Pete (or “Boston Pete” as I am referred to in the world of skoah). Recently, my husband and I became a licensed skoah dealer and in a few short months, we will be opening the first skoah location in the States, in Boston, Massachusetts.
