Skin Care Virgin
Earlier this week, as we were leaving the gym, I told my husband, Boston Pete, how much I enjoyed my skoah skin-training regimen. He stopped walking, turned to me and said, “Don’t just tell me, blog about your experience so others will know too.”
It has been nearly a year since Pete and I first encountered skoah while on a fantastic Vancouver vacation. Back then, I gave little thought to treating my skin well. Like a lot of guys, I sporadically used a variety of drug-store lotions and moisturizers and nothing else. That changed the day I suggested to Pete we go inside, check out the skoah flagship spatique and make appointments.
My first skin-training session opened my eyes to how easy it is to maintain a healthy appearance with the correct products which are properly applied. Skoah skin trainers are rigorously trained to first work with customers in assessing skin type and any problems. Then, a skin trainer will carefully select the product solution which addresses any issues. Where I needed the most help is what happens next—a skin trainer demonstrates how to apply products and in what order to maximize results.
My skin’s appearance has greatly improved as I have continued to follow the prescribed regimen. When I reach the locker room after a workout, I start with removing any grime with the gel kleanser. After my shower, I spray on the turbo tonik toner and let it dry before applying my skin boost serum (making sure to tap the serum into my skin to activate it). The serum brightens my skin and reduces the visibility of a few discolorations caused by tanning bed use when I was younger. Finally, I apply face skotion to moisturize and eye kandy to look my best as I face the day!
The only problem I have with skoah products is when I reach into my gym bag and find out Pete has ‘appropriated’ my products because he has run out of his own. Disagreements in a relationship should never have to stem from a shortage of skoah products! Fortunately, since we are opening the first U.S. location in just a few weeks, I will not have to worry about sharing or running short of skoah products anymore. My hope is our blog readers won’t have to worry either, knowing skoah is coming to New England so they can soon stock up and receive the full skoah treatment by visiting the store.
In the meantime, I need to raid Pete’s gym bag for my face skotion which I noticed he borrowed in the locker room. He seems to have forgotten to return it.
