Born in Cochrane, Alberta, Mason Raymond is currently in his 5th season playing hockey with the NHL's Vancouver Canucks.

He grew up on a cattle ranch in Alberta, which fostered his love of the outdoors. He learned to skate and honed his hockey skills on a frozen pond on the family land. 

He played for the Camrose Kodiaks in the Alberta Junior Hockey League for two seasons and then went on to college, playing for the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs. He then joined the Vancouver Canucks where he has spent his NHL career thus far.

Some of his career highlights include being named to the NHL Young Stars game in Montreal, playing for Team Canada in the 2010 IIHF World Championship in Germany, and the 2011 playoff run to the Stanley Cup Finals with the Vancouver Canucks.
